Our support is currently being delivered in a blended way, with appointments offered online, face-to-face or by telephone. You can book an appointment by calling or emailing us. If you need to send us paperwork, please email scans or photos.
Register with Student Wellbeing Service
We can make appropriate reasonable adjustments for your disability, dyslexia or other specific learning difficulty if you register with the Student Wellbeing Service.
Disabled Students' Allowances
Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs) provides additional support for disabled full-time, part-time, and postgraduate home students.

As a student, you will be expected to meet the academic standards for your course. However, you can access support and ask the University to consider what reasonable adjustments can be made.
Exam arrangements
Students with a disability, learning difficulty, long-term medical or mental health condition which affects performance in timed exams may be entitled to special arrangements, such as extra time.
Access and safety
The University has measures in place to enable access to our campuses and to ensure the safety of disabled students and staff during an evacuation.
STAART
STAART (formerly the *AccessAbility Project) supports students with a disability, long-term health condition, neurodivergence (autistic and dyslexic spectra), and/or mental health condition to thrive at university.

We are proud to sponsor and commit to Advance HE鈥檚 Disabled Students鈥� Commission: The Commitment, which calls on the higher education sector to make changes to create a more inclusive environment and enhance the disabled students鈥� experience.
I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder at 18. I joined STAART in my third year after spending most of my studies hiding my diagnosis. I finally felt accepted and less isolated with my problems.
STAART has been integral to my experience as a disabled student. It has given me the confidence and the opportunity to do things I would have never imagined possible two years ago.
