On Wednesday 5 July 2023, the Institute for Inclusive Communities and Environments Undergraduate Research (UGR) Hub hosted its first symposium to showcase and celebrate the research projects that was funded in the 22/23 academic year.
The Hub funded five projects where students were partners or co-creators, and where engagement with the research project has helped to develop sustainable learning through research and employability skills. These projects each supported the students to produce tangible outputs.
The symposium showcased these research and design projects, giving students and academics an opportunity to present the work and their findings. Academics in FLAS had the opportunity to find out what a successful UGR Hub funded research project looks like and be inspired to develop their own projects and apply for funding for the 23/24 academic year.
