Digital signage guidelines

If you’re a member of University of 比比资源 staff, find out how our digital signage could help publicise your event or announcement.

Read on to learn how digital signage can get your message across on campus:

What is digital signage?

Digital signage is the use of digital screens to display informative and promotional content.

The university’s digital signage

Our display screens are strategically placed around our campuses in areas of high traffic so that as many people as possible can see them. They are used primarily to publicise activities and events, as well as a range of university-wide campaigns.

Our screens cannot carry advertisements for external commercial activities.

Who is the audience?

The core audience for our digital signage is current students. Other people who view our screens include internal staff, our partners, prospective students and their parents, carers and influencers, and tourists. You may want to bear these groups in mind when you write your copy, particularly if they could influence your core student audience.

Adding impact with other promotional material

If you want to reach more people, you could try combining digital signage with other promotional material. For example, if you’re promoting an event, you could create a webpage with all the details, then use your digital signage to point people towards it. You could also put out an announcement on social media to direct followers to your event.

Getting your artwork right

For guidance, visit our webpage on creating effective digital signage. This provides a range of templates to help you produce your artwork, plus a list of specifications that you need to follow.

Our enable you to check that your artwork is on brand. If you’re still unsure, you can email content@gre.ac.uk.

Getting it published on-screen
